Steve Aschburner, the great NBA writer who spent many years covering Minnesota sports, announced his retirement on Thursday.

Instead of writing a swan song, Aschburner went out in style with one word: “News,” he wrote in a tweet with a link to a YouTube clip from the 1983 film “Scarface,” when Tony Montana quit his job as a dishwasher.
Owner: Hey, what you guys doing? There’s a lot of dishes to be washed.
Tony: Wash ’em yourself, man. I retire.
Owner: What the f*** you going to do then now?
Tony: I’ve gotta look after my investments.
