LeBron James is no longer on the Los Angeles Lakers. This is now entirely Luka Doncic’s team. The Lakers have reworked the roster around Doncic going into his first full season as the sole superstar.
Doncic has begun efforts to ensure the team’s success in the offseason already. The 27-year-old took all his teammates out to Slovenia for a bonding experience that seems to have gone well.
It is clear to see that Luka is highly motivated this season. For those who need further convincing though, the man himself had a message.

Doncic has been criticised a fair bit over the course of the last couple of years. His injury issues have stopped him from being able to answer the doubters on the biggest stages.
While the Slovenian isn’t much for talking off the court usually, he took the time to send a message to Lakers fans that they will love to hear.
“”I’m a Laker now. I’m not sure that I ever could have imagined being here and wearing the purple and gold,” he said. “It’s a wonderful surprise and it feels amazing and now I desperately want what all Lakers want: To win it all.
“I won’t rest until we win more championships… I used to let my game do most of the talking, but I want Lakers fans to know that I am ready, excited, and eager to deliver. So ready.
“This is a city that is used to winning and winning big. I am so honored and grateful that I get the chance now to write my own championship chapters.”
It seems that Luka has his pulse on exactly what Lakers fans want most. If he is able to deliver on his ambitions, he could become a massive legend in the process.
