Premier League star receives first Scotland call-up in five years

Oli McBurnie received his first Scotland call-up in five years alongside seven uncapped names in new coach Sebastien Pocognoli’s first selection.
Ahead of the upcoming Nations League matches at the end of September, Scotland named their first squad since failing to qualify from the group stages of the World Cup.

Stoke defender Luke Graham and Sevilla striker Robbie Ure were given their first senior call-ups. Luis Binks, Colby Donovan, Jon McCracken, Josh McPake and Stephen Welsh also enter the squad without a cap.
Hull City’s McBurnie has not featured in a Scotland squad since 2021, but does have 16 appearances. However, he is still yet to score a goal for his national team.
