Stealing one player from every Jets division rival in 2026

The New York Jets are rebuilding the roster (again).

That's made it especially difficult to compete in the AFC East, where they've finished in third or fourth place in every season since 2016. If the Jets could steal one talented player from every division rival, that would greatly increase their chances of improving in the competitive AFC East.
This Jets Wire exercise is designed to identify one player from the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots the Jets would love to have:
Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen, QB
There's no denying which Bills player the Jets would love to acquire. Starting quarterback Josh Allen has established himself as one of the elites and would immediately solve the long-term issue at quarterback. The Jets had a chance to select Allen in 2018, but took Sam Darnold instead.
New England Patriots: Christian Gonzalez, CB
You can make a strong argument for Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, but after choosing Allen from the Bills, we're going with a different position of weakness for the Jets. After trading Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner, the cornerback position has been in transition. Christian Gonzalez has developed into a high-level cornerback.
Miami Dolphins: Chop Robinson, EDGE
The Dolphins' roster is in an even deeper state of rebuild than the Jets are. That made it difficult to identify the right player from the Dolphins. De'Von Achane is the easy answer, but the Jets already have Breece Hall. We shifted attention to young pass rusher Chop Robinson, who would add additional depth and athleticism to the pass rush.
