The Arizona Cardinals have had some success over the last 20 seasons. Arizona went to a Super Bowl during the 2008-2009 season when Kurt Warner was the quarterback. Arizona made it to the NFC Championship Game in 2015-2016 season against the Carolina Panthers when Carson Palmer was the quarterback, but they lost that game to Carolina.

PFF Shockingly Chooses Kyler Murray as the Best Arizona Cardinals Quarterback Over the Last 20 Seasons
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray warms up before their game against the Green Bay Packers at State Farm Stadium on Oct. 19, 2025.Profootballfocus.com writer Nathan Jahnke created the best roster of Cardinals offensive and defensive players over the last 20 seasons. There seemed to be a major debate between Murray, Palmer, and Warner. In the end, Jahnke decided to choose Kyler over the other two. This seemed like a major surprise. Jahnke said,
“Unlike most teams, the Cardinals did not have a clear-cut choice at quarterback. Kyler Murray, Carson Palmer and Kurt Warner each played more than 3,000 snaps for Arizona, while no other quarterback exceeded 1,200. Palmer and Warner earned higher passing grades, but Murray’s rushing ability helped him post the highest overall grade of the three. His longevity also played a role, as he logged nearly 1,000 more dropbacks than either Palmer or Warner.”
Murray threw 3,500 or more yards four times in seven seasons with Arizona. He was also more mobile than Palmer and Warner were, but Murray only made the playoffs once with the Cardinals and they lost that playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams.
From 2013-2017, Palmer threw for over 4,000 yards three times. He had not gotten injured in the other two seasons; there would have been a good chance that Palmer would have made this list over Murray. Warner played for the Cardinals from 2005-2009, but 2008 was by far his best season with that franchise. There is a good case for all three.
