It's the first thought that comes to mind when Nathan Peterman is mentioned.

Yep, that's the guy who threw five interceptions in one half for the Buffalo Bills.

Peterman was once a fifth-round pick of the Bills, and in November of 2017, the Los Angeles Chargers picked him off five times before halftime, leading to a second-half benching.

The next year, Peterman managed to have a game worse by one measure -- he had a 0.0 passer rating.

Peterman made four starts in his Bills career, then one with the Chicago Bears in 2022.

He split the 2024 season between the Saints, Raiders and Falcons, then looked for a job last year but couldn't latch on anywhere.

That has led to a career path change. Peterman doesn't want to be a player anymore.

Instead, he's aiming to be an agent.

Sports Business Journal shared that news on Wednesday:

This isn't a particularly common path. It's more standard for former players to become broadcasters or coaches.

It's a cool twist for Peterman, though, who clearly wants to work with players to maximize their individual careers.

He also can impart wisdom about adversity, which surely could be useful to plenty of professional athletes.

It wouldn't be surprising to see some young QBs eventually look toward Peterman to help them in their careers.
