RIP “Book” — I grew up reading and listening to you and then we got 2 work together for 15 years. It was truly a honor . I regret our last face to face interaction that got very heated & bitter in a very public place . I’m sorry we had to end that way.,nothing but love & respect!

There was nothing like getting a newspaper from the Oakland Press and reading an article from Pat Caputo.

I just wish the Lions could have won a Super Bowl in his lifetime.
One of the pioneers of sports journalism, and a great role model for others to follow in his footsteps.
So sorry to hear, our hearts are with the family today
