Detroit Lions secondary gets a boost with inactives list vs Vikings

· Yahoo Sports

The Detroit Lions are looking to climb up the NFC North standings with a win against a division rival, and they'll have a mostly-healthy roster to help them.

The Lions host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. ET at Ford Field in Detroit. Detroit welcomed back All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph to practice this week days after Pro Bowl safety Brian Branch's season debut against the Green Bay Packers in Week 7, but Joseph is still in the "infant stages" of his return and won't play against the Vikings.

Detroit listed five players on its inactives list: safety Bishop Fitzgerald, edge rusher Ahmed Hassanein, center Seth McLaughlin, tight end Jackson Meeks and defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo.

Notably, cornerbacks Roger McCreary and Ennis Rakestraw are not listed and are expected to play after being listed on the team's Friday injury report, with McCreary tagged as questionable on Friday.

Edge rusher Ahmed Hassanein will spend another game on the inactives list, as he has been listed as such for every Lions game so far this season.
