⚽BOYS SOCCER - Division I

North Kingstown 5, North Smithfield 0

Matia Bender recorded a hattrick and Austin Taylor found the back of the net twice as the Skippers blanked the Northmen. NK goaltenders Connor Bourque and Zeke Galle combined for three saves to preserve the shutout.

Mason Glade had 7 saves for NS in the loss.

Lincoln 4, Portsmouth 1

Charlie Eltz’s two goals were enough to seal the victory for the Lions’ on their home pitch. Casey Acciardo contributed with a score off a penalty kick and Morgan Williams also had a goal. Jaxon Harris assisted on three of his team’s goals. Lincoln goalkeeper Sean Carroll made seven saves

⚽GIRLS SOCCER - Division II

Classical 4, Lincoln School 3

Classical outlasted Lincoln School in a high-scoring girls soccer matchup behind two goals from Lucie Weber. Noelle Zesk and Louisa Flynn also scored for the Purple.

The Lynx got goals from Norah Brubaker and Quinn Murphy, with Brubaker assisting on Murphy's tally. Goalkeeper HanaaAmanullah kept Lincoln in the match with eight saves, but Classical's balanced attack proved enough to secure the victory.

🏑FIELD HOCKEY - Division I

Cranston 3, Cumberland 2

The Cranston co-op edged the Clippers in an overtime thriller after the teams battled through regulation tied at two goals apiece.

Cumberland struck first in the opening quarter when Delaney Eckman found the back of the cage with 9:20 remaining, but Cranston answered at the horn as Elena Defusco converted a penalty corner to send the game into halftime deadlocked at 1-1.

The score remained tied until the fourth quarter, when Nora Ciccone gave Cranston a 2-1 advantage on a corner with 3:10 to play. Cumberland refused to go away, however, as Annie Collins tied the game with just nine seconds left in regulation, also converting on a penalty corner.

In overtime, Alexandra Gonzalez delivered the game-winner for Cranston, scoring with 6:23 remaining to secure the victory.

Clara Morais was strong in goal for Cranston, stopping seven of eight shots on net. Cumberland goalkeeper Emma Maccio made three saves on six shots on goal in the hard-fought contest.

🏑FIELD HOCKEY - Division II

South Kingstown 1, Lincoln School 0

A first-quarter goal by Marah Nelson would stand as the lone score of the game as the Rebels, thanks the superb goaltending of Harper Rodman (10 saves), shut out the the Lynx. Makenzie Roberio picked up an assist on the tally.

For the LS, goaltender Lucy Camara had one save in the loss.

⚽GIRLS VOLLEYBALL - Division II

Toll Gate 3, Burrillville 0

The Titans were led by Bella Hathaway's 12 kills, while Savannah Lozowski added seven kills, two aces and four digs. Mackenzie Long distributed 21 assists and chipped in three aces and three digs in the win (25-20, 28-26, 25-13).

Burrillville battled throughout the match behind strong defensive efforts from Amiyah Perry, who recorded 30 digs and two aces, and Sophie Mekdsy, who finished with 18 digs, three aces and two kills. Sumher Andrade added 20 digs, two kills and a block for the Broncos.

Exeter-West Greenwich 3, Ponaganset 0

Exeter-West Greenwich cruised to a straight-set victory over Ponaganset, 25-16, 25-14, 25-12, in girls volleyball on Wednesday. The Scarlet Knights were paced by Kate Hebert, who finished with seven kills, four digs and four aces. Blakely Macera matched Hebert with seven kills while adding a block and five aces as EWG controlled the match from start to finish.

No statistics were reported for Ponaganset.

Johnston 3, Pilgrim 1

After falling 25-16 in the opener, Johnston took control with wins of 25-16, 25-12 and 25-10 on Wednesday.

Marissa Morsilli led the Panthers with 21 kills and five aces. Milani Abate and Ashlyn Wheeler provided strong support, each finishing with seven aces and four kills.

For the Patriots, Peyton Martin paced the offense with nine kills and added seven aces in the loss.

⚽GIRLS VOLLEYBALL - Division III

Woonsocket 3, Narragansett 1

After a 25-23 loss in the first set, the Villa Novans responded with wins of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-20 to secure the victory on Wednesday. Averee Caron led the way for Woonsocket with eight kills and five aces.

For Narragansett, Mar Guimera Fonrodona filled the stat sheet with 15 assists, eight aces, seven digs, three blocks and a kill. Ruby Prendergast added five kills and four aces in the loss.
