The Baltimore Ravens recently got some tough news that quarterback Lamar Jackson could miss multiple weeks with the recent injury he sustained against the Tennessee Titans. The news comes as the Ravens prepare for their upcoming road game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday evening.

Now, things have gone from bad to worse on the injury front for the Ravens with the latest update.
“#Ravens TE Durham Smythe suffered a torn Achilles on Sunday and he’s out for the season, the MRI confirmed. Unfortunately, exactly what it appeared Sunday,” reported NFL insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network on X, formerly Twitter.

It’s certainly a tough blow for Baltimore as they try to weather the current influx of injury issues. Smythe saw an increased role this year following the departure of Isaiah Likely to the New York Giants, but now his season will be ending after just a few weeks.
Meanwhile, the Ravens are likely preparing to start quarterback Tyler Huntley on Sunday in place of Jackson against a Falcons team that suddenly looks like a worthy opponent, having won two straight games in blowout fashion after stumbling out of the gate this season.
Jackson’s injury isn’t expected to be anything long-term, but it will still behoove the Ravens to find a way to at least tread water in his absence, especially considering that they recently let a game that they should have won against the New Orleans Saints slip away.
In any case, the Ravens and Falcons are slated to kick things off on Sunday at 8:20 pm ET from Atlanta.
