The Atlanta Falcons are currently gearing up for their upcoming road matchup against the rival New Orleans Saints. The vibes in Atlanta are considerably higher after the team’s recent blowout road win over the Green Bay Packers on primetime in Week 3, giving the Falcons their first win of the season.

One of the stars of that game was running back Bijan Robinson, who rushed for nearly 200 yards in the win, and recently, the star delivered his message to the team as they look to get back to the .500 mark.

“We can’t have a game like last week and go backwards,” said Robinson, per D. Orlando Ledbetter on X, formerly Twitter.

Indeed, Atlanta falling back down to Earth after the highs of the Packers win would be quite disappointing, but not entirely unusual, if the franchise’s recent history is any indication.

Robinson also gave his heartfelt reaction to being named a team captain.

“I try to lead the guys in the right direction both on and off the field,” he said, per Will McFadden of the Falcons on X, formerly Twitter.

Robinson has been a hugely positive presence both on the field and in the locker room for Atlanta as he gets his fourth season with the team underway, establishing himself as the best running back in the NFL in the eyes of most fans and pundits, and putting his full arsenal on display against the Packers last week.

Next up for Atlanta is a matchup against a Saints team that will be looking to bounce back after letting one slip away last week against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Kickoff between New Orleans and Atlanta is set for Monday evening at 8:15 pm ET.
