Olivia Miles has spoken out on the back of her team being knocked out of the WNBA playoffs after just two games.
After finishing the regular season in first place, many likely fancied the Lynx to go on and, at the very least, make it into the second round.

But they exited the competition after losing back-to-back games against the New York Liberty in the first round.
The second of those meetings took place on Tuesday evening and shortly after the defeat, Miles has spoken to the media to give her thoughts, including saying ‘there’s no excuse…I’m ready to get it back’.

As shared by Kris Pursiainen on X/Twitter, the Lynx star stated: “Losing games is a part of it. Having games like I had is a part of it, it’s beautiful, as much as it hurts.
“Learning this way, it’s a part of the game, right? Everyone wants to win all the time, but that’s not how it works.
“I have to remind myself that I’m a rookie, I’m not a 10-year vet. I have to remind myself I don’t know what I’m doing, now I do. Now, there’s no excuse, I’m ready to get it back.”
While Miles’ season ended on a low, she does have a lot to celebrate following her debut year in the WNBA.
She was recently named the Rookie of the Year for 2026, winning the award via a unanimous vote.
Elsewhere, Miles surpassed Caitlin Clark’s rookie-season scoring record (769), earning 790 points this year.
