INDIANAPOLIS — Las Vegas Aces star forward A’ja Wilson received a technical foul in Tuesday night’s playoff game after confronting an Indiana Fever fan late in the fourth quarter at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
After she was fouled by Sophie Cunningham, a fan appeared to yell something toward the court. As she walked toward the fan, whose seat was behind the baseline, Wilson immediately took out her mouth guard, pointed at him and began yelling. She crossed into the rows of courtside seats to confront him, and her teammates put themselves in between them during the exchange as the man appeared to stay seated.

“If I see a man come at me, taking steps towards me and pointing at me,” Wilson said after the game, “… I don’t give a damn what you said … It’s unacceptable.”
The Fever went on to win 99-89 in the first-round Game 2 matchup to tie the series 1-1.
Wilson finished with 22 points and nine rebounds as her team now heads back to Las Vegas for a winner-take-all Game 3 on Thursday.
