Ravens reveal uniform combination for matchup vs. Cowboys in Brazil

The Baltimore Ravens are taking one of their most familiar looks to Brazil.

Baltimore announced it will wear black helmets, purple jerseys, and black pants for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro. The combination dates to the franchise's first home game in 1996, though the uniform the Ravens will wear Sunday includes details from their new Next Flight collection.

Those changes are easier to spot up close. The jerseys feature updated numbers outlined in Midnight Purple, an iridescent color designed to resemble a raven's feathers. It also appears in the sleeve shields and along the pants' new talon-shaped stripes. The purple jersey carries “Baltimore” on its back collar.

The Ravens have worn the same three-color combination in different versions over the years, bringing purple jerseys and black pants back together in 2010 after their inaugural season. Sunday's game gives them a chance to show the updated version on an international stage.

Baltimore enters the matchup at 1-1 after a loss to New Orleans. The Cowboys are also 1-1, making the first NFL game in Rio an opportunity for both teams to build momentum before October. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
