Washington Nationals vs St. Louis Cardinals Game Thread
· Yahoo Sports
Yesterday went about as well as possible for the Nats. They beat up the Cardinals, Cade Cavalli got extended and Josiah Gray returned to action. Now they will look to clinch a series win against the Red Birds. If they win tonight, they will avoid a 90 loss season for the first time since 2020.
James Wood is back in right field for this one. That moves Dylan Crews to center and Abimelec Ortiz will be the DH. Andres Chaparro replaces Yohandy Morales at first base as well. Jorbit Vivas plays third base, which slides CJ Abrams to second and Nasim Nunez to short. Andrew Alvarez is on the mound in this contest.

With a lefty on the mound, the Cardinals will change some things up. Pedro Pages is behind the plate which moves Leo Bernal to first base. Jose Fermin will make his first start of the series as well. The speedy Victor Scott will be in left field. Michael McGreevy is on the bump for the Cards.
