While the NBA offseason is often centered around players moving to different teams and starting the next chapters of their respective careers, it also applies to the numerous executives that it takes to run each franchise in the association, with some moving cities ahead of the upcoming season.

But for the Philadelphia 76ers, a member of their front office isn't just moving roles, but moving leagues.

As reported by The Athletic's Sabreena Merchant, Ariana Andonian, who was the 76ers' vice president of player personnel, is slated to become the new general manager of the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA.

Andonian's time in Philadelphia

This won't be Andonian's first time being in charge of a team, as she served as the general manager for Philadelphia's G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, when she took over for then-leader Jameer Nelson. During her lone season in charge of the Blue Coats, they posted a record of 18-18, narrowly missing out on the G League playoffs, but it was a certain step up from where they were the year prior.

Philadelphia wasn't the only stop in Andonian's time around the NBA; she also spent four and a half years with the Memphis Grizzlies in some capacity, as well as three years with the Houston Rockets.

Now she'll be taking over the reins with the Sparks, a franchise that has struggled since last making the playoffs in 2020, having failed to post a winning record ever since. But she'll have some bright pieces to build around, as Cameron Brinks, Kelsey Plum, and Nneka Ogwumike have proven to be solid foundational pieces in the City of Angels.
