Roma make second offer for Stuttgart winger

After seeing an initial bid for Jamie Leweling rejected by VfB Stuttgart, AS Roma have seemingly now submitted a fresh offer for the German winger.

According to Bild, Roma are now offering around €35 million for a permanent transfer.
Talks are reportedly underway between the two clubs, as well as between Leweling and Roma.
Roma's first offer – a €5 million loan deal with an option to buy – was firmly rejected by Stuttgart, but the Bundesliga side could be tempted to accept the new proposal.
Club CEO Alexander Wehrle confirmed in an interview with SWR on Sunday that a number of players are expected to leave before Tuesday's deadline.
“We will still let one, two or three players leave. The squad is too big. Something will certainly happen by Tuesday at the latest,” he said.
In addition to Leweling, Lazar Jovanovic could be on the move.
Following reports of negotiations with Udinese over a deal worth €6.5 million plus €1.5 million in bonuses, Wehrle confirmed that talks for the 19-year-old are “on the home stretch”.
