WWE superstar could face months out as he confirms serious injury during Main Event

Being a WWE superstar means having to deal with injuries through your career and at times, suffer big setbacks.

Huge names in the industry have fought back from serious injuries over the years, with the likes of Triple H, Edge, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton among those that spring to mind.

Of course, some never make it back, as we’ve seen with Big E following his major neck problems.

Now, it seems the WWE injury curse has struck again.

Matt Cardona confirms major injury issue

Matt Cardona has found himself barely being used on WWE TV in recent months but he’s recently jumped into the scene with Gunther after a showdown with his real-life wife, Chelsea Green, last week.

However, in what will be gut-wrenching news for Cardona to accept, he’s now posted on Instagram to confirm he’s suffered a torn tricep.

This sort of injury is common-place in WWE and wrestling in general. We’ve seen the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin and Cody Rhodes battle back from similar issues, but it takes time.

For Cardona, the injury has come at the worst time possible.

Torn triceps are often an injury that takes months to fully recover from. WWE will not be signing him off for work either, with the safety of everyone else of paramount importance.

Quite how long Cordona faces out, remains to be seen.

But with surgery likely needed, WWE fans might have seen the last of the former Zack Ryder for a while.
