Chicago Bears training camp is in full swing ahead of the 2026 regular season. Under second-year head coach Ben Johnson, the Bears are looking to build on their success from last year and keep pace in a crowded NFC with important meetings and practices at Halas Hall.

Following a padded practice on Saturday, the Bears were delayed by inclement weather before hitting the practice field indoors for another workout that featured another notable injury as rookie receiver Zavion Thomas suffered a minor knee injury. But there were some standout performers, including a veteran newcomer and younger players taking advantage of their opportunities.

Following every Bears training camp practice, we at Bears Wire will highlight the top players who stood out on the field. Here are the players who stood out on Day 10 of practice:

1. S Xavier Woods

The Bears signed Xavier Woods just a couple of days ago after an influx of injuries at safety, including Coby Bryant and Cam Lewis, and the veteran made a strong impression in his first full day of action alongside rookie Dillon Thieneman with the starters.  Mark Carman noted that Woods "made a strong impression" on Sunday. According to Adam Jahns, Woods intercepted quarterback Caleb Williams on a Hail Mary-like heave in the final team period and also delivered a huge hit on tight end Colston Loveland on a fourth-and-10 play. Before practice, defensive coordinator Dennis Allen praised Woods' experience and familiarity with defensive backs coach Al Harris and was excited to see him work. Safe to say Allen liked what he saw.

2. RB D'Andre Swift

Running back D'Andre Swift has quietly been having a solid training camp, and he was among the biggest standouts on Sunday. According to Mark Carman, Swift was "all over the field catching passes, looking fast, shifty." and Dan Wiederer said he looked "GOOD" and continued to stack a "strong camp." Swift was key in a situational four-minute offense drills, where he had two big runs for first downs (11 and 15 yards). Chris Kwiecinski added Swift was "shifty with burst, and had big gains in nearly every team period."

3. CB Malik Muhammad

Perhaps the only good thing about the influx of injuries early in training camp is younger players getting opportunities. That's true for rookie cornerback Malik Muhammad, who saw "a heavy workload" at nickel with the first-team defense and was also part of Dennis Allen's dime package, according to Adam Jahns. Overall, there was "plenty of work overall for the rookie today," as Muhammad continues to get opportunities amid a beat-up secondary. It's a valuable learning experience as Brad Biggs shared one learning experience for the rookie "On one play, (Caleb Williams) rolled out left and Malik got locked up covering D'Andre Swift … didn't see CW18 motoring past him. Good lesson there. Have to see the ball."

4. WR Jahdae Walker

The Bears are starting to get banged up at wide receiver with starter Luther Burden III sidelined with a groin injury, and even rookie Zavion Thomas nursing a sore knee. With Burden sidelined, last year's standout undrafted rookie Jahdae Walker has seen time with the first-team offense in his place, and he made an impression Sunday. Walker had a "good" day, per Mark Carman. "Tough catch in one-on-one drills on the end zone on perfect pass from Caleb. Also caught a bomb from Caleb on a busted coverage for a TD." Sean Hammond noted that Walker saw "lots of run" with the starters.
