Cunningham wore a fitted black romper with a light blue cropped top featuring long, flowing sleeves. She completed the look with black shoes and wore her blonde hair down. The Fever shared photos of Cunningham and her teammates arriving at the arena, writing, “Business trip.”

Sophie Cunningham shows off another unique look

Saturday’s outfit was much different from the heavy layers Cunningham wore before Thursday’s game against the Las Vegas Aces. For that game, Cunningham arrived in a brown jacket, loose-fitting pants, boots and sunglasses. With temperatures in Indianapolis reaching around 80 degrees, some fans wondered how she could be comfortable wearing so many layers.

Cunningham went with something lighter in Chicago, although the long blue sleeves still helped the outfit stand out. Pregame fashion has become a big part of Cunningham’s popularity since she joined the Fever. She has worn dresses, cowboy boots, leather shorts, oversized jackets and several other creative outfits throughout the season.

Fans have come to expect something different whenever Cunningham arrives at an arena.

Cunningham remains in the spotlight

Cunningham has received plenty of attention for more than her clothing this season. Her physical style of play and willingness to stand up for her teammates have made her a popular figure among Fever fans. She also has built a large following through social media, podcast appearances and her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut.

Cunningham recently said she wants the conversation surrounding her to return to basketball.

“For me, I want to get back to basketball,” Cunningham said, according to ESPN. “It’s always been about basketball.”

That may be difficult when nearly everything she does becomes a story. Cunningham entered Saturday averaging 9.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. She also was shooting an impressive 44.8% from 3-point range.

Indiana entered the matchup with a 19-12 record after losing consecutive games to the Minnesota Lynx and Las Vegas. Cunningham scored two points and grabbed three rebounds in Thursday’s 86-84 overtime loss to the Aces.

The Fever hoped she could help them get back in the win column against Chicago. Before the game began, however, Cunningham’s latest outfit gave fans something else to discuss.
