The recruitment of 2028 four-star edge Cam Toomey has taken off tremendously throughout 2026 with a plethora of offers. One of them was from the Florida State Seminoles back in March.

At the moment, Toomey is getting a schedule together to take game visits to the top schools he's interested in. He has two visits locked in. He'll travel to see the Penn State Nittany Lions when they host the USC Trojans on Oct. 10, and he'll also visit the Tennessee Volunteers when they play the Kentucky Wildcats on Nov. 7.

Toomey has several other game visits in mind as well. FSU is one of the schools that he mentioned when discussing that topic.

"Working on Alabama, FSU, LSU, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, and Kentucky," Toomey told 247Sports.

Toomey is the No. 47 overall prospect and the nation's No. 9 edge per 247Sports composite rankings. He's the No. 1 player in the state of New York.

He was a very productive player as a sophomore at Saratoga High School in Saratoga Springs, New York. The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder totaled 36 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, five sacks, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and three blocked field goals.

It'll be interesting to see which game he decides to go to when he comes to Tallahassee for the first time.
