Welcome back to another edition of our Reacts Survey! In this week’s poll, we’re asking fans to grade the Brewers’ trade deadline.
I already offered up my deadline grades yesterday, and after we posted individual polls for the Brewers’ two deadline day deals, we’re here to ask you to grade the overall deadline.
While there was plenty of speculation about Milwaukee potentially making a splashy move for the first time since acquiring CC Sabathia at the deadline in 2008, that never came to fruition. Instead, the Brewers made three low-key moves to improve their depth, particularly on the pitching side.
First, it was the acquisition of catcher Bo Naylor and right-handed reliever Codi Heuer on Saturday morning, with outfielder Blake Perkins and right-handed reliever Craig Yoho heading to Cleveland in the return. Heuer was then flipped to the Orioles for cash considerations yesterday, while Naylor has been put at Triple-A Nashville.
In Milwaukee’s two moves on Monday, they acquired pitchers Dustin May and JoJo Romero from the Cardinals in return for outfield prospects Alexander Frias and Josiah Ragsdale before acquiring pitcher Antonio Senzatela from the Rockies for pitcher Mark Manfredi and shortstop Juan Martinez.
