Dak Prescott provided a clear stance on the Dallas Cowboys’ ceiling as a talented offense going into the 2026 NFL season.
Prescott is gearing up for the 11th season of his career with the Cowboys. He shines as one of the best quarterbacks in the league, often having Dallas in the playoff picture.
However, the last two seasons have been disappointing for Dallas after being ineligible for postseason action in 2024 and 2025. Prescott went through injuries in 2024 before bouncing back in strong fashion throughout 2025.

Prescott conversed with media following one of the team’s training camp sessions. It is there where he expressed firm confidence in the offense’s ceiling, believing them to be capable of being the greatest offense there is.
“A lot of times you have a lot of turnover, and we didn’t have much turnover at all on our offensive side, right? We added some guys, and some younger guys are going to have to step up. So maybe we seasoned the group a little bit, and guys are getting older, but we’re close to some historic things last year. Why can’t we be? Let’s be the greatest offense there is. You’ve heard the greatest show on turf and all the other different nicknames,” Prescott said.
What lies ahead for Dak Prescott, Cowboys
Dak Prescott and the Cowboys will have high expectations to make the playoffs and attempt a deep run. For Prescott, he hopes to make a case as an MVP candidate.
Prescott completed Year 10 with great statistics for his offensive production. He completed 404 passes for 4,552 yards and 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
They will attempt to improve on their 7-9-1 record from 2025. Not only that, but they also hope to make the playoffs after a two-year absence.
The Cowboys will start their campaign on the road, facing the New York Giants in Week 1. That matchup takes place on Sept. 13 at 8:20 p.m. ET.
