About an hour prior to the scheduled 7:10 p.m. first pitch between the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Guardians at Great American Ball Park, Reds officials announced the game would begin in a rain delay.

The rain hadn't started as of 6:20 p.m., and the Guardians were still taking batting practice, but weather was forecast to interrupt the contest. According to NOAA, rain was scheduled to reach the area around 7:15 p.m.
A timeline for when the game could begin wasn't provided.
