Tyler Warren's tenure with the Colts
Warren was a first-round pick by the Colts in the 2025 NFL draft.
Recapping Tyler Warren's 2025 season
Warren's rookie year was a resounding success. He finished the year as one of the more productive tight ends in football, catching 76 passes for 817 yards with four touchdowns. He was named a Pro Bowler as well.
Among all tight ends league-wide, Warren was tied for sixth in receptions and was fifth in receiving yards, according to Pro Football Focus.
His ability to help in the run game and his versatility add a level of unpredictability to the offense because he is able to wear so many different hats. This provides Shane Steichen with greater flexibility as he puts together game plans and can open up opportunities not only for Warren but for his teammates.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Tyler Warren
As good as Year 1 was for Warren, Year 2 can often be when a player makes his biggest developmental jump, with the experience gained from their rookie season being the catalyst behind that.
Shane Steichen noted this offseason how Warren is in "great physical shape." Warren's rapport and chemistry with Daniel Jones will continue to grow as well, with the two having more reps together.
Warren also recently discussed where he wants to improve in Year 2, mentioning his ability to hold space within the route to maintain separation.
“He’s gotten more reps, and you can tell, the way he sees things now is even better, and he’s moving well.," Jones said, via Mike Chappell of FOX59.
