Are the Savannah Bananas and Banana Ball coming to Columbus this summer? Not exactly.
However, another brand of exhibition baseball will be lighting up Huntington Park, the home of the Clippers, from July 23-25. The Cosmic Chili Peppers will play the Glow Mojis in a glow-in-the-dark baseball experience as part of their 2026 Cosmic Takeover Tour.
The games, which sold out completely in 2025, are played entirely under black light with glowing uniforms and UV-reactive baseballs.
According to CBS42, more than 100 500-watt black lights were installed at Regions Field for the Chili Peppers' series earlier this year in Birmingham, Alabama.

The game is "part baseball, part neon-fueled party, and 100% unforgettable," according to the Clippers' website.
According to a spokesperson from the Chili Peppers, there will be a block party that starts at 4:30 p.m. outside the stadium for each game at which fans can meet the players. There will also be a DJ and entertainment performers, as well as "blacklight activities" for attendees. All three games are scheduled for 8 p.m.
Formerly a collegiate summer baseball team, the Chili Peppers converted into the entertainment-branded form of baseball in 2024. It's believed to be the first organized sporting event to be played entirely under black lights, according to MLB.com.
