The reunion most Carolina Panthers insiders figured would happen eventually became official Friday.

The NFL club agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent Brady Christensen, a move intended to bolster the team's offensive line depth, assuming the six-year veteran can remain healthy.

That has been an issue.

Christensen suffered a torn Achilles tendon during a Week 8 encounter against the Buffalo Bills at Bank of America Stadium and was lost for the season.

During the 2023 regular-season opener, Christensen endured a torn biceps and didn't return.

The 29-year-old inked a one-year deal Friday. Terms were not immediately released. He carried a 2025 salary cap hit of $2.78 million.

A 2021 third-round draft pick by the Panthers, Christensen appeared in 59 career games, including 34 starts. The versatile lineman started all 17 games in 2022, appearing in 95 percent of the team's offensive snaps.

Over the past three seasons, he has served as a top backup, able to play any position along the line.
