Liverpool have made enquiries about Bournemouth winger Rayan as they weigh up long-term successors to Mohamed Salah.

The Reds have discussed the Brazilian extensively with head coach Andoni Iraola, and are keen on a possible reunion. TEAMtalk reports the 19-year-old is now firmly on their radar.
Iraola knows the player well from their time together on the south coast. The Spaniard worked closely with Rayan during his first months in England, helping him adapt to Premier League football before moving to Anfield. He is understood to rate the teenager’s ceiling as exceptionally high.

Rayan’s debut half-season justified Bournemouth’s investment. He scored five goals and added two assists in just 13 Premier League starts after arriving from Vasco da Gama in January, adapting impressively. That form earned him a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad.
Liverpool are not alone in their admiration. Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are all said to be monitoring his progress after his breakthrough campaign.
Bournemouth, however, have no intention of selling. The Cherries consider Rayan untouchable after just six months at the club, and are braced for a fight to keep one of their prized assets.
His contract offers them protection. Rayan has a release clause of around £130m, though it is understood not to become active until 2027. That leaves Bournemouth in full control of his future this summer.
The enquiry forms part of a broad Liverpool search. Their dream target remains RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, but the teenager prefers a move to PSG, with talks between the clubs ongoing.
Liverpool hope that a PSG deal for Diomande could free up Bradley Barcola, whom they admire greatly. Should those avenues close, alternatives including Yankuba Minteh, Said El Mala, Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Iliman Ndiaye have all been considered.
