In a major news update for the Indian side, Shreyas Iyer was announced as the captain of the country’s T20I team, while teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi gets set for his historic India seniors debut.

The series begins with Ireland before the team goes on to play against England for what promises to be a more difficult competition ahead.

Suryakumar Yadav, who led India to T20 World Cup win earlier this year, has lost his spot in the team. Test captain Shubman Gill also failed to make the cut.
