Two-way talent Faith Aragon announces transfer to Nebraska

The Nebraska softball team added one of the nation's top two-way players to its roster. Left-handed pitcher and utility player Faith Aragon announced her transfer to the Huskers over the weekend.

Aragon transferred to Nebraska after playing at UTEP (2004) and New Mexico State (2005 & 2006). In 454.0 innings, she has a record of 45-28 with one save, seven shutouts, and a 3.30 ERA. At the plate, she hits .323 with nine home runs and 32 RBI.

This past season, she made 37 appearances in the circles with 23 starts for New Mexico State. Aragon had a 21-10 record with a 2.62 ERA and 244 strikeouts in 195.1 innings.

She hit .369 with 11 doubles, seven home runs and 26 RBI. Aragon was named first-team All-Conference USA for her play with New Mexico State.
