Fable Trailer Reveals Release Date, Hayley Atwell as Its Villain

· IGN

Xbox's Fable reboot now has a confirmed 2027 release date — and a fresh trailer has revealed Marvel star Hayley Atwell will play its villain, named Isabel.

Visit sportfeeds.autos for more information.

Today's look at Fable during the Xbox Showcase featured plenty of Atwell, who claims that she is the only hero that Albion needs. The trailer then concluded with a tease of Fable's original villain, Jack of Blades, confirming his involvement too.

The trailer then wrapped with confirmation of Fable's new release date following its recent delay until next year, pushing it clear of GTA 6's impact. Fable will launch on February 23, 2027.

"Isabel is a driven, powerful Hero on a quest to make right a tragic injustice," said Fable associate narrative director Craig Owens. "Driven by grief, Isabel has turned her pain into determination and focus that sets her at odds with The Hero of Briar Hill and Humphry, her one-time guardian. Isabel’s conviction that she’s not just doing the right thing, but she’ll be able to make right any harm she causes along the way makes her a powerful, dangerous enemy."

Today also brings word of the game's first expansion, Fable: Order of the Hero, a story‑driven addition due sometime after Fable's launch that "draws you into the secrets of a dark, ancient cult hidden deep within the perilous beauty of Albion." The extra content will feature a new region and fresh story, as you "shape the cult into your heroic vision, whether noble, nasty or just plain weird."

Fable: Order of the Hero will be included in the Fable Premium and Collector's Editions. The Collector's Edition also includes an array of physical items, such as a Jack of Blades statue, hard cover art book, Steelbook case and lapel pin.
