“It is reported that the suspect advertised services as an energy healer, astrologer, masseuse, counselor and homeopath life coach,” police said in a statement released Saturday.
While providing these services, police said he allegedly sexually assaulted clients between Jan. 1, 2018, and Dec. 31, 2024.
Police allege the suspect used www.jaiwellbeing.com to advertise his services.
Jai Veer Etvaru, of Toronto, was arrested on Thursday.
He’s charged with four counts of sexual assault and one count each of sexual interference and sexual exploitation.
The charge of sexual interference suggests an alleged victim who is under 16 years old. And the charge of sexual exploitation is typically laid when the accused is in a position of authority.
The accused in this case may also be known as Jai Mangal Krishnanad, police said.
Investigators have released a photo of Etvaru because they are concerned about the possibility of other alleged victims.
