One of the more prominent players at his position in the league, Chisholm is used to the spotlight. He basked in it once more on Monday night, appearing on an episode of "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon.
Chisholm's appearance on the program raised eyebrows for some, especially given his early-season struggles. Among his more vocal detractors was Guardians play-by-play man Tom Hamilton, who decided to tell his listeners just what he thought of Chisholm getting the nod to appear on the show while providing vocals for Cleveland's matchup with New York on Tuesday night.

What did Tom Hamilton say about Jazz Chisholm?
Hamilton expressed disbelief at the sight of Chisholm on Fallon's show,. He was left unconvinced that Chisholm — a two-time All-Star and first-time Silver Slugger winner last season — was deserving a spot on Fallon's program.
"Pretty amazing he got on the Jimmy Fallon Show batting .239," Hamilton said during Tuesday's broadcast.

For comparison, the Guardians entered into Tuesday's game hitting .232 on the year. There's also the fact that Chisholm wasn't on Fallon's program to promote himself nor his team. Rather, he wanted to draw eyes to a cause near and dear to his heart.

Jazz Chisholm Tonight Show appearance
Chisholm's "Tonight Show" cameo centered largely around his charity, the Jazz Chisholm Foundation.
"The foundation is for kids in the Bahamas, Florida and New York, so far," Chisholm said. "For kids that were just like me. When I grew up, I didn't have much and I always had someone randomly, pop out of nowhere and just was able to give me a little help or drive to help me to succeed.
"Just trying to be a superhero for the kids that don't have because I had a couple superheroes in my life and I want to be a superhero, too."
He also touched on his history with Michael Jordan, his on-field fashion sense and his softball-playing grandmother, who played a leading role on getting him on the diamond as a youth.
