Colonial remains one of the PGA Tour’s most respected old-school venues, rewarding precision and course management far more than raw power. The par-70 track in Fort Worth features the famous “Horrible Horseshoe” stretch on holes 3-5, a brutal run that can quickly derail contenders. This year’s field lacks some of the tour’s biggest stars, but it still includes several top-ranked players led by Ludvig Åberg, Russell Henley, Justin Thomas, Hideki Matsuyama, and defending champion Ben Griffin.

Åberg enters as the betting favorite despite making his Colonial debut, something very few players have overcome historically at this event.
