Selected by Kansas City with the No. 161 pick in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, Johnson will compete for snaps behind Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker Jr., who joined the Chiefs as a free agent in March.

Draft expert Todd McShay raved about Kansas City's decision to take Johnson off the board during a recent episode of 'The McShay Show,' going so far as to say he could be an "impact player for the Chiefs."

Take a look at McShay's full comments in this video, which was posted to Twitter by SleeperChiefs:

Though Chiefs fans aren't likely to see Johnson enter Kansas City's starting lineup next season, the former Cornhusker should have no problem forcing himself onto the field when Andy Reid needs a fresh set of legs to lead his ground game.
