As usual this time of year, Michigan football recruiting has been one step forward and another step back, gaining and losing commitments as the cycle wears on. The Wolverines picked up a meaningful pledge over the weekend in Kalamazoo (Mich.) Loy Norrix four-star offensive tackle Jakari Lipsey, but is another potentially coming down the pike in short order?

It appears to be that way, at least according to Rivals' Steve Wiltfong.
On Monday, Wiltfong put in a prediction (subscription required) that the Wolverines will land Indianapolis (Ind.) Franklin Central four-star edge rusher Jayce Brewer, ranked highest by Rivals as the No. 214 player in the country and the 18th-best EDGE. The Wolverine's Ethan McDowell joined Wiltfong with a prediction for the maize and blue.

As we head into summer the intel favors Michigan and with that I’ve logged a Rivals Prediction Machine forecast in favor of the Wolverines.
Michigan currently has six commitments, including Lipsey, Salt Lake City (Utah) West four-star quarterback Kamden Lopati, Muskegon (Mich.) four-star edge rusher Recarder Kitchen, Gatineau (Quebec) Brook Hill School three-star interior offensive lineman Sidney Rouleau, Saline (Mich.) three-star interior offensive lineman Louis Esposito, and Las Vegas (Nev.) Centennial three-star safety Maxwell Miles.
