FanDuel Becomes Formula 1’s First Official U.S. Betting Partner Ahead of Miami Grand Prix

· Yahoo Sports

One of the biggest names in sports betting has partnered with Formula 1 as its official betting operator in North America. FanDuel, widely recognized as the No. 1 sportsbook in North America, will promote the F1 race weekend to its millions of customers across the continent as it begins a more integrated approach to betting on the sport.

The agreement, the first of its kind in the U.S., comes at a perfect time as F1 returns from a five-week break ahead of this Sunday’s Miami Grand Prix.

As part of the new partnership, the 17 million monthly active users of FanDuel in the U.S. and Canada will be able to bet on a range of markets, including the race winner, whether cars make the podium, and head-to-head match-ups. On the F1 app and website, users will also be able to place bets with FanDuel within live race coverage. Further markets will be introduced later in the season.

It’s not an accident that the F1 fanbase in America has grown by 100% in five years, with 52 million fans in the U.S. and around the world. Now, another huge industry is enjoying a huge following, after sports betting became legal in 38 states. And as the average sports fan may spend as much time inside a sportsbook app as they do inside a sports streaming app, you can be sure the appetites of Formula 1 betting in the U.S. will grow due to this deal.

“Sport no longer exists in isolation and as more and more fans in the US wager on sports with the sport they love, it’s important that F1 has a strong and appropriate partner in this space,” said F1 Director of Commercial Partnerships Jonny Haworth.

This weekend’s 2026 Miami Grand Prix brings F1 to North America for the first time this season, with the dominant story being 19-year-old championship leader Kimi Antonelli. One of the schedule’s swankiest races, the Miami Grand Prix, will now have another way to engage with the FanDuel announcement.
