The Spartans added another prospect to its 2027 class on Thursday morning, with three-star edge rusher Jack Schuler announcing his commitment to Michigan State. He posted on his social media X account on Thursday that he's "120% committed" to Michigan State, becoming the seventh Spartans commitment in the 2027 class.
Schuler, who is from Columbus, Ohio, is listed as a three-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 86 in 247Sports' system. He ranks as the No. 79 edge rusher and No. 39 player from Ohio in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2027 class.
Schuler held offers from just under 10 schools, with Michigan State being his lone power four offer. Other schools to offer him includes UConn, Marshall, Toledo, Ball State, Central Michigan, Kent State, Liberty and Miami (OH).
With Schuler's commitment, Michigan State's 2027 class now ranks just outside the top 25 at No. 28 in the country on 247Sports. This, of course, is very early in the cycle, though, and there is expected to be plenty more movement for both the Spartans and their competitors over the next few months.
120% COMMITTED 🟩⚔️!!!!!
