The New York Mets need to find a way to weather the storm right now, as they have multiple guys injured. Unfortunately for the Mets, one of those guys is Juan Soto.

Soto is undoubtedly a top-five player in this game, and any game he misses is an important one for New York. When we also factor in how competitive the National League East is, this is something the Mets clearly don't want to deal with.
Anthony DiComo, however, provided an excellent update on how he currently feels.
“Juan Soto (calf) has been swinging a bat indoors and playing catch, but he’s not close to beginning a running program,” DiComo reported. “He’ll continue to participate in light baseball activities while he heals.”
I understand that a calf injury requires him to start running, but I also think it's a really good sign that he's already swinging the bat and playing some catch. It's early in the recovery process, so we don't want to get too ahead of ourselves. However, the fact that Soto is already grinding again is a better sign than if he weren't.
The last thing the Mets want to do is have him hurt and be without him for a long time.
