The 6-foot-3, 275-pound interior lineman too multiple visits to the UT campus this spring and committed to the Horns after a strong final push from the Texas staff. He told the Texas staff he wanted to commit during a visit last weekend.

Keyon Hemphill-Woods is the No. 24 ranked inside offensive line prospect in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports. Rivals/On3 has the recruit ranked as the No. 30 inside offensive lineman.

"I chose Texas because there's no other place like it," Hemphill-Woods told Horns247. "The coaches there are the best you can ask for. I have been wanting to go to Texas since I was a kid so when I was blessed to have an opportunity to play there I was super grateful. I didn't want to wait any longer."

Hemphill-Woods helped lead his high school team, the Columbus Cardinals, to the Texas 3A Division I state championship as a sophomore and make a deep playoff run in 2025 as a junior.

“They’re just different,” Hemphill-Woods told OrangeBloods. “I knew I wanted to be there. The school is awesome. The coaches are great. The locker room also, when I got in meetings, it just felt normal for me. I locked everything down. I’m locked in. I cancelled all my other visits. I even told coach (Flood), if I’m committed, I’m committed 100 percent."

Hemphill-Woods also comes with NFL bloodlines. His cousin LaAdrian Waddle played offensive tackle for seven seasons, playing for the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, and Buffalo Bills. Waddle has been on three Super Bowl teams and has two rings.
