“Struggled” – Former Chelsea player claims current Blues man is unhappy at the club

Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel claims that Cole Palmer is unhappy at Chelsea right now and may have his head turned.

We all know the stories around Palmer being linked with Manchester United lately, noise that just does not seem to want to disappear anywhere right now despite many coming out to try and shut it down.

Palmer is a Manchester lad and it’s quite clear there is some sort of connection with United there, as there would be for many Manchester born lads and lasses.

And it seems that because of this and the noise we have been hearing, Mikel is putting two and two together and assuming that Palmer might currently be having his head turned by the interest.

Obi Mikel said on Cole Palmer this week:

“Palmer is not really happy. Yes, he struggled with injuries, but he’s back playing, but he’s not quite back to his best. Yes, there are stories about him linking him to Manchester United.

“They’re not going away. There’s no smoke without fire, man.”

I think he’s probably just reading into all this a bit too much for now. I think Palmer is just annoyed with himself when he’s not playing at the levels he knows he can play at.
