And, as many as five Barcelona players feature in the squad that will face the two teams in the Nations League.
Goalkeeper Joan Garcia, defender Pau Cubarsi, midfielders Pedri and Fermin Lopez, and superstar forward Lamine Yamal are the Blaugrana players called up by De la Fuente.
Barcelona midfield mainstay and Spain captain Rodri misses out after suffering an injury during the team’s last game against Aston Villa, which will keep him out of action for close to a month.
Eric Garcia, who is also recovering from an injury, is not in the squad either. There is no place in the squad for Gavi either, with the La Masia midfielder not playing regularly under Hansi Flick in recent weeks.
The likes of Gerard Martin, Marc Bernal, and Alejandro Balde have not been called up either.
