A suspected impaired driver in a stolen box truck allegedly led Florida authorities on a lengthy chase that resembled a scene from the Grand Theft Auto video game series.

The pursuit, which happened last Wednesday night, was captured on video shared by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

In the clip, the sheriff’s aviation unit guides deputies as they pursue the stolen vehicle through the streets of Tampa.

The chase ends when deputies stop the box truck using a spike strip to deflate the vehicle’s tires.

Once the box truck stops, a swarm of police cruisers box in the truck, with at least a dozen deputies surrounding the vehicle.

Deputies then smash the driver’s window to open the door and pull the suspect out.

According to WFLA , which obtained a Florida Highway Patrol arrest affidavit, troopers received a Be On The Lookout alert about the stolen box truck from the Largo Police Department.
