PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) — Michael Eley had 27 points in Prairie View A&M’s 86-65 win over Paul Quinn on Monday in a season opener for both teams.

Eley added four steals for the Panthers (1-0). Elijah Mitchell scored 14 points while shooting 7 of 12 from the floor. Davian Williams was 4 of 6 from the field and 4 for 5 from the line to finish with 14 points.
Malcolm King led the way for the Tigers with 22 points and seven rebounds. T.J. Mitchell also had 11 points, five assists and two steals, and Jourdyn Grandberry scored 10 points.
