LSU women's basketball, complete schedule for 2026-27 season

LSU women's basketball knows its full schedule for the 2026-27 season. Head coach Kim Mulkey will head into her sixth season at the helm in Baton Rouge and face one of the toughest schedules of her tenure.

The Tigers consistently catch heat for their non conference slate. Mulkey is vocal about giving her team the summer off and scheduling easier games as a ramp up to a challenging SEC season. After nine home games against mid-major teams, they face tougher tests.

LSU ends November at the Fort Meyers Tip-Off with games against Villanova and NC State. The Tigers immediately travel to Chapel Hill for its SEC/ACC challenge game against North Carolina. LSU travels to Nashville for a neutral site game against UConn, pitting Mulkey against fellow coaching great Geno Auriemma.

The Tigers begin SEC play on December 31 against Auburn, who they play twice this season. They will likely face ranked tests against Texas, South Carolina and Oklahoma. Mulkey has yet to best Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks but will try again this year in Columbia. LSU fell to the Longhorns in Austin and beat the Sooners in Norman last year.

LSU fell to Vanderbilt and Kentucky to open the conference season on a two-game skid in 2025-26. The purple and gold host the Commodores on January 3 and travel to Lexington on February 4.
