The overtime escape

Deion Sanders: "Hats off to KSU. Well-coached ... Should have never gone to overtime, I feel. [We] allowed some crazy things to happen."

Winning and the fans

Sanders: "Should have never gone to overtime, I feel. Allowed some crazy things to happen. All in all, we got the victory ... God bless the fanbase that still showed up."

Richard Young and the running game

Sanders praised Young after a 120-yard, two-touchdown performance and credited Colorado's 222 rushing yards with easing Wilson's workload.

Sanders: "He waited patiently. He hasn't complained, bickered or murmured. I wanted him to have a chance to run the ball today and he proved that he could. The running attack was truly vital."

Isaac Wilson protecting the football

Sanders was "tremendously proud" of Wilson's turnover-free performance and praised his behind-the-scenes work.

Deion Sanders: "He wants that moment ... He scored the game-winning touchdown. That's awesome, man."

Yamil Talib and the pressure

Sanders: "We was trying to bring pressure every play because they couldn't handle it ... That's a kid who wants to win, comes from a great family of football."

Mistakes and on-goal-line fumble

Sanders criticized the goal-line fumble and subsequent roughing-the-passer penalty. He wasn't surprised Kansas State kicked the tying extra point.

Sanders: "We talk every darn day about flushing the last play ... And that's what they showed."

On Punter Damon Greaves

Sanders: "Mate is that guy. He's Mr. Consistent. He could average 50 yards per punt. But he sacrifices for us so we could get our butts down there ... Mate is one of the MVPs on this team. I love him to life."

On Julian Lewis and Dominiq Ponder

Sanders said the team was praying for Lewis and described Bo Hughley bringing a Ponder shirt into the huddle late in the game.

Sanders: "Those are moments in the game that you'll never forget."

Outside noise and preparation

Sanders: "I don't know what the definition of desperation is. I don’t think these young men are desperate ... The main thing I told them to do is go out there and have fun."
