Hoover, who suffered an arm injury against Ohio State, started out the week listed as "probable" for thegame against the Gophers. The coaching staff considered replacing Hoover with backup QB Grant Wilson in the second half of a 13-6 win over Michigan with him clearly limited.

Throughout the week, Cignetti expressed confidence Hoover would start against Minnesota with his most recent comments on the quarterback coming Saturday morning during his appearance on ESPN's College GameDay.

"I think Josh he's had good week and I'm looking for him to have a really good game today," Cignetti said.

Indiana will be without defensive end Kellan Wyatt and receiver Davion Chandler against the Gophers. They were listed as out right at the start of the week and ended up as the only players listed on the availability report on Saturday.

Wyat suffered a lower body injury against Michigan while IU hasn't commented on Chandler's status.
