Two players back at practice, one new DNP on Vikings' Thursday injury report
· Yahoo Sports
Running back Aaron Jones and left guard Joe Huber returned to the practice field on Thursday after sitting out the Vikings’ first session of the week. Both are dealing with knee injuries.

Jones was a limited participant. That’s an important step in the right direction, but his status will still be worth monitoring on Friday. Huber was a full participant, which indicates that he’ll be good to go for Sunday’s game in Detroit, barring a setback.
Jones has been playing through a sprained MCL in his left knee since Week 2 and aggravated the issue slightly when he was hit in the fourth quarter of last week’s game against the Colts. If he’s available to play, he’ll split the backfield work with Jordan Mason, who returned from a four-week absence last week. Jones has a team-high 508 total yards and two touchdowns on 118 touches this season.
Huber has been the Vikings’ starter at left guard since Donovan Jackson went down with a serious injury early in Week 4. A second-year former UDFA, Huber has impressed and is coming off his best game of the season.
Right tackle Brian O’Neill (knee) was a full participant on Thursday after getting in a limited session on Wednesday. He hasn’t missed any games this season.
There is one new addition to the Vikings’ injury report: Tight end Gavin Bartholomew did not practice due to ankle injury. Bartholomew was Minnesota’s No. 3 tight end behind T.J. Hockenson and Ben Yurosek last week. If he can’t go, the Vikings could elevate Bryson Nesbit or Devin Culp from the practice squad for depth purposes.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, all of the key Lions players who did not practice on Wednesday were full participants on Thursday. Safety Kerby Joseph and cornerback Ennis Rakestraw remained limited.
