Leading members of the attacking ranks at Barcelona and Real Madrid have been nominated for high-profile individual awards this week.
This comes owing to their respective efforts across the month of October.
Fresh off being pipped to glory at the Ballon d’Or ceremony by Bayern Munich hitman Harry Kane, both Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé are up for two La Liga prizes.
The first comes in the form of the Spanish top-flight’s Player of the Month. Barca prodigy Lamine managed a trio of direct goal contributions in three appearances this month.
Real Madrid frontman Mbappé, though, could hold the edge, after taking his tally to four goals for October courtesy of a match-winning brace in El Clásico this past weekend.
Also on the shortlist for Player of the Month are all of Alejandro Grimaldo, Gonçalo Guedes and Matías Dituro.
Elsewhere, Lamine and Mbappé have both also been put forward for the La Liga Goal of the Month accolade, for their remarkable respective efforts against Real Betis and Sevilla.
The pair are joined by Hugo Novoa, recognised for his moment of brilliance in Deportivo Alavés’ defeat at the hands of Celta Vigo earlier this month.
