Just 10 days into the season, and multiple top teams in the NBA are already facing serious injury issues. The Oklahoma City Thunder lost Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace for the season in the same game. Paolo Banchero is set to miss serious time, as is Kawhi Leonard.

The latest player to join this list is a name that no fan across the league wanted to see. Anthony Edwards, after an explosive start to the season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, is set to miss a big chunk of the season. Naturally, basketball fans on social media don’t like it one bit.

Anthony Edwards set to miss up to two months with knee procedure scheduled

There have been discussions in recent years about whether the style of play or the intensity is leading to more injuries. It feels that nearly every season some of the biggest names in the sport miss time. With Edwards, it seems he needs a procedure for his knee.

“Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his ailing right knee and miss up to two months, sources tell ESPN,” Shams Charania posted on X. Fans had a lot to say in the replies.

“Can somebody turn the injuries off? This is messed up man,” one comment read. “Restart the season already and don’t save progress,” a different fan agreed. “Was just talking about the injuries too, this season is cursed,” a third fan claimed.

“You can’t tell me this wasn’t going to be an MVP season for Ant, too,” a fourth fan said. “Why couldn’t this have been done in the offseason? I just don’t understand sometimes,” a fifth fan said. “Just ruined what could’ve been a perfect season for the Wolves,” claimed a sixth fan.

It is hard to disagree that seeing these many NBA stars go down so early in the season is bad for the league. This particular injury is especially bad for the Timberwolves and their hopes for the season. Ideally, Edwards will return inside two months, and he can pick up where he left off.
